Project Description:

Our customer, a leading manufacturer of steel packaging for the food industry, required a centralized platform capable of integrating data from multiple PLC controllers, HMI panels and production equipment.

The solution also had to comply with corporate standards for data standardization and reporting while supporting future expansion without user or licensing limitations. Mobile and desktop access was required for operators and management.

Axoma implemented a comprehensive MES platform based on Ignition and Sepasoft MES modules. The solution collects, archives and analyzes production data while integrating utility consumption, including electricity and gas. The platform also includes applications supporting production order management and raw material inventory.

Project Requirements:

Integration of the existing production infrastructure into a single Ignition platform enabling centralized production management, reporting, electricity and gas monitoring.

Project Results:

The delivered solution provides a fully scalable manufacturing execution system enabling real-time monitoring and reporting of production performance.

The customer received a platform optimized for both desktop and mobile devices, giving operators and supervisors instant access to production status from anywhere within the facility.

Perspective dashboards installed directly on production lines provide continuous visibility into machine status and production performance. Built-in maintenance functions help detect equipment issues early, reducing downtime and supporting predictive maintenance activities.

The application continuously calculates Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for the entire production line as well as for individual machines. Comprehensive dashboards and reports provide full visibility into downtime causes and production efficiency.

The architecture was designed as a reusable template, allowing the solution to be deployed across additional production facilities with similar manufacturing processes.
