Project Description:

The customer required a centralized utility monitoring system covering electricity, gas and water consumption in order to automate utility cost allocation, improve data quality and gain complete visibility into resource usage across the manufacturing facility.

Due to the size of the production site and its distributed infrastructure, the system was built using wireless communication technology combined with intelligent edge devices.

The solution provides:

  • Real-time monitoring of electricity consumption across the entire plant and individual production departments, including demand monitoring and peak power alarms.
  • Automatic contracted demand control to reduce electricity costs.
  • Continuous gas consumption monitoring with detailed analysis by production area and equipment.
  • Automated utility accounting and reporting for electricity, gas and other production utilities.

Project Requirements:

Deployment of a scalable monitoring platform supporting distributed wireless communication, installation of new metering devices and seamless integration with the existing infrastructure.

Project Results:

Deployment of a scalable monitoring platform supporting distributed wireless communication, installation of new metering devices and seamless integration with the existing infrastructure.
